US- UAV Technician

The Position:

XDynamics is looking for motivated individuals to join our team in bringing the vast capabilities of drones to clients across the globe. We currently have exciting full time career opportunity for a UAV Technician who comes with a professional demeanor and a positive attitude. We’re looking for a full time UAV Technician with experience in the repair, assembly, bench test, and maintenance of multiple UAV, both multi-rotor and fixed wing.

The Location:

We are located at 9281 Irvine Blvd, Irvine, CA 92618.

What you will do:

  • Perform all repairs and modifications required to meet company requirements
  • Perform routine inspections and troubleshooting
  • Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignments
  • Accurately complete all required maintenance records
  • Perform other duties as may be required

Key Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience with consumer drone products and open source hardware/software, (DJI, Autel, Skydio, Parrot, APM, Pixhawk, Mission Planner)
  • Experience with Drone, RC piloting, assembling and building
  • Experience with a variety of sensors, (Gyroscope, Accelerometers, LiDAR, GPS, Magnetometers) preferred
  • Soldering Proficiency, both thru-hole and SMD
  • Hands-on test and debugging experience with knowledge of standard electronic test equipment (e.g. multi-meter, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, signal generator)
  • Designs support and servicing workflows and procedures
  • Ability to work independently, handle responsibility, and work efficiently
  • Motivation and organization skills
  • Detail-oriented mindset focusing on quality workmanship
  • Clear and purposeful verbal communication with a can-do attitude

Preferred Skill-sets:

  • Certified Drone Pilot (eg. FAA Part 107 certificate
  • Customer Service and technical support experience
  • Experience with all areas of the radio controlled hobbies such as planes/gliders/FPV/Multi-rotor is desirable.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit and use a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
